Not entirely sure, however i think they u get 5 points per reply and you also gain points when other members reply to your topic.
So do points make prizes?!?!
Post Points are currently there for a bit of friendlycompetition on the forums
We will not give the game away as that takes all of the fun out of it but we can reveal that there is a calculation behind the points system which is based on a number of factors and user actions. For instance you will notice points being rewarded for starting a thread, replying to a post or rating a thread to name a few.

In order to clear up any confusion - your post points are not directly related to your forum ranking so you won't necessarily increase your forum ranking in the same way that your points increase.
As Rahul has quite rightly said - it is the quality of posts that should the focus.
Also Agreed! No - But think about it - he is 'The Boss' So he needs the highest rank ... Us members can become royal flushes though cant we?
